July 17, 1955 often referred to by staff as "Black Sunday" because of construction related problems, strikes, unfinished projects, media, heat and host of other concerns. Yes they had more then their share of problems; some bathrooms didn't work right, unfinished landscaping was filled in with the name of weeds written in Latin on little signs, asphalt bore the prints of many a pair of shoes and the list goes on and on know what? They opened and the last couple of days it was in the 100's oh well hit the California Adventure rafting attraction followed by Soaring and you'll cool off.
I would have no trouble answering any questions about the opening if anyone cares to ask?
